Greetings from Fort
Myers Beach.
Condominium Association
A Special Meeting
was held of the Pointe Estero Condominium Association on
June 25 to determine if the owner’s wished to change the
Bylaws to allow Board Members to serve 2 year terms.
All votes received through proxy or in person agreed to
make the change. This change will be effective as soon
as our legal representative has the documents properly
recorded. Going forward, the following terms apply to
the current board.
Expiring at the 2009 Annual
Meeting:
Dean Bagnola
Dr. Tom Janik
Mike Kelly
Expiring at the 2010 Annual
Meeting:
Alice Bell
Don Fluegal
Gene Riches
Thank you for your support in
getting this needed change.
The official
Florida hurricane season runs from June 1st
through November 30. We have implemented our hurricane
plan which, among other things, assigns all tasks
involved in dealing with these storms to certain
individuals. As you can imagine when a Hurricane or
Tropical Storm threatens our area, the staff here at the
resort is very busy preparing the building and dealing
with any guests and owners on property, along with
needing to be able to ensure the safety of their
families and homes. In order to limit the amount of
calls to the property at these times, but still provide
adequate information to our owners, Pointe Estero will
be placing property updates on the web-site
www.sunstreamowners.com before and after these
events.

Resort Program
Jamie Gregor, our
Guest Service Manager, gave birth to a healthy 7 lb, 6
oz boy on June 25th. Jaime is doing well and
will take several months of maternity leave before
return to the resort.
With the continuous
slump in the economy we have been successful in getting
our units rented but as previously communicate we have
had to discount our rates to get there. In May, we sold
an additional 14 rooms comparable to last year, but we
received on average $31.23 less per night. For June, we
filled 62 more rooms this year, but at a price that was
$31.47 less.
Comment Cards
Our guests are invited to fill out a
comment card 2 days after departing the resort, which
covers everything from guest experience, employee
contact and cleanliness and condition of the resort and
it’s units. There is also the ability for them to offer
us additional comments in what would make their stay
better. All these cards come to me on a daily basis
which provides timely feedback to share with our staff,
and the opportunity to instantly address any
deficiencies. Our combined comment card score for May
was 95.41 and 96.22 in June.
Guests continue to compliment us on
our staff and property. Some recent examples:
“The Pointe Estero
staff has a lot to be proud of! We travel a lot and this
was one of our favorite resorts. Clean, tidy,
efficient!”
“We honeymooned at
Pointe Estero for 8 days and 9 nights, and everything
was PERFECT! Everyone was very kind, the facility is
beautiful and intimate, and our stay was everything we
imagined it to be.”
“The room was very
nice, better than I expected. We already can't wait to
come back next year and bring people with us.”
“Excellent stay,
friendly staff...would definitely come back!!”
“Cleanliness is
most important thing to me -- and yours was impeccable!
Could sleep easily and didn't feel the need to sanitize
-- as at some rentals. Great job, housekeepers!”
In closing, summer
is a wonderful time to visit the area. Traffic is less,
and you will find no wait at your favorite restaurants
and plenty of affordable tee times at some of our best
golf courses. If you get a chance, please take
advantage of your property.
