Welcome! We are having a great season
so far at Park Shore. We’ve enjoyed seeing so many of you
during your winter visits. We’ve been busy here making
improvements, and hope you found the property to be looking its
best!
The board
continues with its efforts to obtain wind insurance at a
reasonable price. We hope to have a new insurance package by
April 1st. The Board of Directors will be meeting
March 14, 2007 to discuss this important issue.
We have been focusing our attention on
landscaping with great results! Much planting for color has
been done, with special attention to the areas in back of the
lobby. Hundreds of impatiens in shades of pink, purple, coral
and white have been planted and the area is very colorful and
lovely! Throughout the property, we will continue to expand the
areas of seasonal color with flowering shrubs and more
impatiens. Look for the areas near 101-106 and 150-153 to be
getting special attention. Aquatic plants for the lake are now
in place. The selection of flowering plants includes pickerel
weed, blue flowering iris, yellow cannas and yellow water
lilies. In addition to providing color, these plants are
helpful in improving the clarity of the lake water. Lake water
levels have been low, but several recent storms are helping them
to recover.
Improvements for the gazebo area are
ongoing—the grills will be replaced soon and the bar and work
station near the grills will be covered with tile. These
improvements, along with the new furniture purchased from last
year will combine to greatly enhance the gazebo area.
Painting continues around the property. In
addition to the interior painting of the rental units, we are
touching up the walkways where needed and resurfacing the
stairwells with anti-slip paint.
If you haven’t visited us in a while, there
are new signs going up around the property. Colorful Park Shore
Resort /Island Pub posters are now in all the elevators and
sandblasted directional signs have been placed throughout .
Our
January revenue exceeded budget and we expect our first
quarter’s total revenue to exceed last year’s.
Our current refurbishment projects are on
schedule. The painting of interior units is ongoing. The new
in - room safes have been installed and feedback from our guests
has been very favorable. Lanai carpet has arrived and the
installation will be complete by April’s end.
Spring is a great time to visit Park
Shore and enjoy the improvements we have made. Our hard work is
producing great results! As always, please don’t hesitate to
contact us with any thoughts, suggestions or concerns. We look
forward to seeing you on your next visit!
