Welcome! 2006 is
off to a successful start. It’s been great to see so many
owners and returning guests, and we are certain it is going to
be a wonderful season.
Coming soon is our new website for
Park Shore owners! Park Shore Resort will be the first SunStream
property to go online with the new website. Owners will be
able access many useful features, including association meeting
minutes, sales information, and items unit specific for the
owners. Owner Services Manager, Brenda Stewart, will be
contacting all owners by letter to assist in setting up user IDs
and passwords.
Our Board meeting went well in December.
On the eve of the meeting SunStream Realty sponsored an owners’
cocktail party at the Island Pub restaurant. It was a great
evening with food, drinks, gifts and giveaways.
We have been working to beautify the
landscaping on the island. Mulching has been done, and many
new plants, including Hawaiian ti plants and bougainvillea, have
been added to replace those lost in hurricane Wilma. The island
looks better than ever! We are also building retaining walls
in selected areas where erosion, time and hurricane Wilma have
taken their toll.
The gazebo furniture is being replaced.
Teak and faux granite by Tropitone are both being considered.
In early February Park Shore held an art
show featuring the work of watercolorist David Clough. Now a
Maine resident after years of world travel, Clough makes Naples
and Park Shore Resort his winter home. Best known for his work
with watercolors, the artist created a new series of Naples
scenes in response to many requests for them.
We have added two new units to the Rental Program. Units 139
and 254 will be entering the program.
Our recent guests have had very positive
comments about Park Shore Resort:
-
"Everything was beautiful…a lovely
setting"
-
"The service and atmosphere were very
conducive to healing both mind and body"
-
"All staff members very cordial and
professional"
-
"In spite of being post hurricane, the
property and staff were exemplary"
-
"Excellent smiling happy people"
Park Shore staff member Sandy Zelaya was
the recipient of SunStream’s prestigious Shining Star Award.
This annual award recognizes the employee “who shines like a
star in the areas of teamwork, performance, service, creative
thinking and community involvement.” Sandy is our Assistant
Executive Housekeeper and has been with Park Shore since 2001.
We’re proud of Sandy and her many accomplishments!
Refurbishment
All of the items for Phase III have been placed on order. This
final phase includes new sofas, occasional chairs, living room
drapes, artwork, lamps, and lanai furniture. As the items
arrive they will be placed in the units. As we look forward to
completion of our refurbishment project, it is gratifying to
hear all of the favorable comments from owners and guests and we
expect the final results to be wonderful.
A refurbishment meeting will be held on
February 10th to develop a program for 2006. Program should be
minimal and may include painting of the unit interiors, flooring
for lanais, and in-room safes.
Our hard work is producing great
results as we make improvements to the property that all can
enjoy. Despite a soft market due to mild weather up north, we
are still anticipating a great season!

McIntire,
