Dear Bellasera Owner: 

With the season behind us now it is not the time to reflect on what was…but to start planning ahead and see what is to come.

On June 7th, 2007, a Board of Directors meeting was held to discuss the Owner Survey responses regarding wind insurance.

As a reminder our next Board of Directors Special Assessment meeting is set for June 19th at 2:00 p.m. The topic of discussion will be regarding wind insurance. 

The first quarter of 2007 showed very strong revenue increases over the same period last year. We are continuing to pace ahead of last years revenues for bookings received through mid-April, this trend continues through September. We are lagging in our average daily rate (ADR) in that time period.  We have implemented a new program that has boosted our revenue while increasing our ADR.  We began “Linger Longer” (late check-out promotion). The Linger Longer promotion is working out well and helping the front desk to have a controlled format to offer the guest now for late check-outs.   

Bellasera has again topped the chart on the TripAdvisor’s “Popularity Index” as the #1 recommended Hotel in the Naples area. Being new to the area this is an outstanding accomplishment in the levels of quality and service provided by the staff of Bellasera.  

Comment cards and our mystery shopper surveys continue to provide excellent feedback. Here are a few recent guest comments:

• “Don’t change a thing, EVERYTHING was perfect…”

Bellasera is pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Steve McIntire to the position of Bellasera General Manager.  Steve has been with SunStream, Inc. since October 2001 in the position of General Manger at the Park Shore Resort.  During his tenure at Park Shore he has successfully overseen a major multi year refurbishment of the entire property, revamped the rental program and successfully renegotiated allocation with the condominium association.  In addition, he has increased owner distributions by over 300% (Yes, Three-hundred percent; not a typo!!)  Congratulations! Steve on your new position at Bellasera.

Collier County’s Tourism Week kicked off this year in May.  Bellasera and ZiZi Restaurant had 8 nominees this year.  For the second year in a row, Margie McGlynn, Sales Manager was awarded the Sand Dollar Award for Outstanding Hotel Sales Employee.  This award was based not only on what Margie does to promote Bellasera but also for what she does in the local community and promoting Naples as a destination.  Margie serves on several Boards and is involved with many Committees and charities in Naples and Collier County. Congratulations!

More awards continue at Bellasera.  Each quarter, Sunstream, Inc. recognizes six employees throughout all of the properties for excellence and outstanding service.  We are proud to announce that one of the winners is our front desk supervisor Terry Langendorfer.  Congratulations!

Ask The Concierge!

A little bit of history…The idea of the Concierge is old and we think, noble.  The Concierge first appeared in the 12th century in European Castles and palaces.  Today’s castles and palaces are our luxury hotels bearing as many stars as they are willing to earn.

July 4th Parade starts from 10 am till 12 noon. At Cambier Park the US West Point Jazz Band performs a concert at 2 pm. 3rd Street South has entertainment from 12 noon till 9 pm.
